Sonic Generation 3DS port has one big problem is that Sonic team (Developers) Should have focus on the handheld Sonic games from the Game Gear, Gameboy Advance, and DS era. The level desigh is some what bad and the first three classic Sonic levels are rip right out of the games their base off. Now classic Sonic has the homing attack like his modern self which make it feel weird. So here how it goes if you don't like fast classic Sonic you could with faster modern Sonic with boost and everything. Gameplay is all 2D platforming which is a huge disappointing to me because the 3DS could handle 3D platformers like Super Mario 3D Land and it feels pointless playing as both Sonics. The two Sonics and the two Tails must stop what ever go on. The story is the same, but this time Sonic made to his birthday party and Tails (Sonic best friend) hasn't finish getting the party and the purple monster comes and takes Tails to this limbo world where he meet his past self. Sonic Generation for the 3DS is different from the console port with remade levels from past Sonic games and different boss, but it doesn't make it a good idea.

I cannot find the file "" isn't neither on any of the zipped files (3DSExplorer, getromfs, or 3ds ctr decryptor). but I prefer to let him focus on Pokemon X/Y as well as the Hoenn remakes, becuz there's still plenty of pokemon to extract (including trainers and other stuff)Įdit: I found out what to do after making the ROMFS, but I have a problem. If I cannot extract files succesfully from a very old rom like that, then what can I do with roms like Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, Toriko Gourmet Monsters or other similar roms? Unless something is wrong with the tutorial, or the rom file itself, What can I really do? On XOR, the XORpad is generated with same file size but I'm unable to extract anything with Ctrtool. I tried both 3DSExplorer and XOR.EXE with the same results, on 3DSExplorer gives a CRC error or corrupted file.
When I get the ROMFS, it have less space than I expected (1.4GB of 2GB from original Rom)Īnd when I tried to decrypt into a XORpad, an error message pops up. I tried to extract models from Castlevania Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate, but with no avail.
